Re-Position: A Brand New Dance Graduate Programme Starts in September 2016


State of Emergency is delighted to welcome you to the Re-Position brand new graduate and early profession training programme, starting in September 2016 at Greenwich Dance.

This is an opportunity to keep up with technique classes, develop choreography, perform, learn how to successfully audition for dance companies, and learn business skills related to developing a career in dance.


Classes:   Tuesdays 6-7:45
Cost:         £45 for the term
Venue:     Greenwich Dance, The Borough Hall, Royal Hill SE10 8RE


Re-Position Term Dates:
Term 1: 13 September – 18 October (6 weeks)
Term 2: 1 Nov – 13 December (7 weeks)


Course Leader is Ingrid Mackinnon with special guest session from Alleyne Dance (Audition Technique).


About Re-Positon:

 Re-Position includes an emphasis on creating work for performance. Past participants have performed at Bristol Harbourside Festival, Creative Skills Conference, Birmingham, Afrovibes Festival at The Albany and East London Dance and Greenwich World Cultural Festival in Eltham Palace.


About Ingrid Mackinnon

Ingrid Mackinnon has performed with Dallas Black Dance Theatre, Royal Caribbean International, Tavaziva Dance, Disney’s The Lion King. Green candle Dance Company, Uchenna Dance, The Royal Opera House and English National Opera as well as performance work in film and video. Ingrid is also a Pilates instructor and has a Masters Degree in Movement Directing and Teaching from Central School of Speech and Drama. Ingrid teaches a fresh Contemporary Jazz class with an emphasis on technique and musicality. Classes include warm-up, progressions and a challenging combination.


About Alleyne Dance:

Kristina and Sadé Alleyne presents Alleyne Dance, an internationally touring, innovative, modern, multi- disciplined dance company based in London.

Kristina and Sadé have worked with many companies across the years and trained in many genres of dance including traditional African dance, Hip Hop, Kathak, Latin and Circus Skills. They were originally Athlete’s and trained professionally in London. Those experiences have helped mould their dynamic, fast, physical dance style and technique.
